Im taking my Basic Theory at BBDC so wish me good luck. Although I believe that luck only accounts to 1% of it and the remaining 99% is all about hardwork.

Are Singapore Women Materialistic?

Recently I had a chat with my friend who is planning to set up a social escort business including ‘optional service’ to the client. He posted ads looking for suitable candidates and he actually got a few ranging from 19 to 25yrs old, some of them were actually studying in universities. Then I had thought: ” Can Money really buy love or sex?”

I choose to believe that the answer is a solid YES. Go ahead and ask any girl on the to choose between 2 average looking guys, one guy who really loves and cares for her but earns miserable $2000 plus job and another guy who earn 5 to 10 times than what the previous guy earns. I believe that most the girls would choose the latter because they knew that love alone is not enough to get them their favourite LV bag or Tiffany rings. Even the minimum requirement for their other half is same educational standard or better.

Having this belief of mine. I decided to focus on my career and studies because girls will swarm around you when your successful, even if your head is bald and fat as a pig. Imagine this is the same advice coming out from some female friends of mine. Disagree with me if you want and I only have this comment for you. Time will tell….. Time will t

Crap! It hurts!

Went to the gym yesterday and hurt my shoulder during one of the exercise. Worse of all, it was on my right shoulder which i had a surgery 2years back and Im scared. What if I tore that same ligament again? Will I still be able to move like I used to? Or is it just a sprain that is so bad it hurts even as Im typing this very monent? For all I know there is only one answer to those doubts. MRI scan

MRI(Magnetic resonance imaging) works just like the X-ray except that it is able to capture more details like your ligaments and tendons etc with minimum side effects. If Im still experiencing that sharp pain the next morning. Its time for me to go the doc for a MRI appt.

Im Burnt Out…

Typically, you will have a day when all the negative issues, whether its in the past or currently happening, compounds and left you so burnt out. Well its happens to me now…  I was working as a property after completing my National Service on 29th Sept 06 and its the worst part of my life when i burst 6 deals in a row, causing me over 10k of commission and left me broke after clinching only 2 rentals in 7 months.

Demoralized and broke, I joined NTUC fairprice as a supervisor which i worked 12 to 16hrs a day. Whats worst is that I found out that my good friend is actually betrayed me in a BGR, which I left in order not to see the 2 of them.

Just when I thought I finally get to learn an expert saleswoman from my new job. She got fired by the crook sales manager which I had to endure for 7months before settling in my new job, which sells pest control products. (It sucks!) But the critical hit din came untill I was lookin for a job in the finance sector and the only entry level job which I could find were financial advisor and banker which is not my interest considering the fact that they merely sell hope.

So after bumping into all these walls for the past 2yrs, either mental, physical or emotional, took a toll onto me. I’m feeling so drained and burnt out that I need a break away from the reality. I want some time to think about what I really want in life and how to go about doing it…

My 1st Kiss with a guy… or a girl actually.

Have you ever wondered how it feels to kiss a ladyboy (male who underwent sex change)? As for me, I felt like I did something that I thought that I actually did it. But honestly, it felt even better then kissing a real woman sometimes, so here’s the story.

I went out drinking wine with the purpose of celebrating my friend’s birthday. Afterwhich we went to MOS(Ministry of Sound) for a couple more rounds when 2 ladyboys acutally went to our table and one of them begin to tackle my friend, touching him and sitting down on his lap which wrapping his arms around her waist. The other one went on tackle my birthday boy but he ignores her and so, she starts to tackle me. Normally  I would run away from such things but she looks really kinda cute so I sort of play around with her. hugging her and even kiss her on the lip. Seriously i would try to french kiss her if not for my friends who wanted to get outta there.

At the entrance she even said that she wants to make love to me which makes me kinda felt good, having someone to wanting you for one night stand. ( even its a half she) But I make up some execuses and left the club. But I still remember the feeling  of that kiss, it was a mixed feeling of seduction and gentleness from that kiss, which you thought was never possible from someone who used to be a man…..

Questions and Answers for your Goals

Have you ever start to have doubts and concerns about the goals that you had set? At certain point of time it happened to me and I begin asking myself questions with regards to my goals like: “Why I choose this strategy?” ” Why is it so important for me to acheive it?” etc. So I find it helpful to write the questions and doubts that you have for yourself and write it down on a piece of paper. Then spend time to think of an answers and write below all each of the doubts. It helps to gain clarity and focus on your goals.  An example below shown for my goals to become a full time professional trader:

Qns: Why do you choose to spend 15k to study for a degree instead of saving that money for trading?

Ans: Studying for a degree helps me to achieve 3 objectives:

1. To get a higher salary since the diference between a degree student and diploma student is around $1000
2. To gain a stronger foundation of my financial education in terms of economy awareness, company report, etc
3. Credentials to  help me find jobs in finance related jobs or career

Think Insurance is a safe bet for your future? Think again…

The Fed loan 85 billion USD to AIG in a 2 year period to prevent its bankruptcy, in exchange for 79.9% of its company shares. In Singapore, hundreds of people lined up at AIA which is divison of AIG, to cancel their policy and demanding their refund. Even though AIA has stated clearly it has the capital to compensate any claims. Through this event of AIG gives me even more concrete decision to bulid up my financial knowledge because in this era whereby even some the largest insurance giants were now in such a crisis, what makes you think that your invesment is safe if you do know have the basic financial education invest in the right bank or insurance company?

Continue my plan at times like this?

After reading through what has happend in the US financial market, I begin to ponder whether i should continue my education in finance or abandon it. After giving some thoughts, I decided to stick to my goals and plan for the following points:

• its takes 3 years for me to complete my degree and by the time, the economy would be picking up from all the mess it has created for itself.
• My Main goal is to become a full time professional trader so whether the market is good or not doesn’t really concern me.
• There is a chinese old saying: ” where there is danger, there is opportunity.” Who knows? Maybe I’ll be able to find opportunity in times like these.
• Lastly, its a cycle. There is bound to be ups and down in economy, the only question is how to profit in the up and down of the market cycle.

What does full commission means?

I was going through an interview at Parkview Square for a position as a independent financial advisor when the interviewer mentioned to me that full commission does not mean no basic. I was puzzled. Does it means that being an IFA have basic? or it meant other stuff? When I probe further, he asked me to attend a workshop on wednesday to find out more. Well… most likely I wun be attending because my objective of the interview is to find out more and I definitely able find the truth of full commission from my friends who are in the industry.
